When is consultative selling appropriate?  Unless you’re buying a pack of gum at a convenience store, the answer is “almost always!”  Consultative selling requires more upfront planning but works more efficiently when your client realizes you are putting their needs first.  Clients are much less likely to experience buyer’s remorse, and they truly DO appreciate meaningful communication that helps them choose between options.
